Ethereum, the second largest cryptocurrency by market-cap, continues to push new all time highs this week with increased volatility. Ethereum hit CA$5,325 mid-week on the early morning of Wednesday Oct 27 before touching $4,878 in the evening. During the end of the week on Friday Oct 29th, Ethereum reached new heights hitting $5,539.
Bitcoin has not showed the same momentum as Ethereum after hitting new all-time-highs last week on Oct 20th at CA$82,895.30
Alt-coins have shown strong momentum this week as well, notably Ethereum second layer token Polygon. Polygon has climbed back up to $2.70 on Thursday this week, up from about $1.85 last Thursday and inching closer to all-time-high of $3.16 back in May.
Cosmos's coin ATOM has also been positively trending the past two weeks, albeit with high volatility. ATOM has been trending between $40 to $53 during the past week. Trend-charts for ATOM is looking bullish long-term as it has been trading in a positive range since August of around $15.
Metaverse tokens have also risen at the end of the week due to Facebook's announcement to become Meta. Decentraland (MANA) has risen from just under CA$1.00 to about $1.84 on Friday. The Sandbox (SAND) has also seen a surge late week as it too has risen from just under $0.95 a week ago to a new all-time-high of CA$1.51 on Friday.
