Helium Blockchain is a crypto project focused on building a distributed future where wireless infrastructure is built, maintained, and controlled by anyone, the People's Network. Helium was launched in 2019 and has expanded it distributed network around the world.

Earlier in the year, Helium announced plans for a 5G rollout to expand its distributed network offering. Fast forward to October 26th, Helium announced partnership with it's first major carrier, DISH network, to extend the Helium Network, allowing customers to deploy their own Helium 5G CBRS-based Hotspots.
This partnership is monumental as it will allow Helium's 5G network infrastructure to deploy at scale, allowing greater connectivity to demanding technology such as cellphones, tablets, and laptops. The partnership also benefits DISH customers who share their 5G wireless service by running a node as they earn Helium cryptocurrency (HNT) in return.
The Helium cryptocurrency HNT has risen from approximately CA$1.79 to a high of $33.44 in August 23, 2021. Currently HNT is about 10% of its ATH, trading at roughly $29.91.
